Objectives
The assessment of the value of community pharmacy residency training represents a significant gap in pharmacy research. This project serves to address this gap by assembling an advisory board of expert pharmacy researchers to develop and administer a scientifically valid survey instrument with the primary objective of assessing the real or perceived value of community pharmacy residency training from the perspective of colleges of pharmacy and pharmacy organizations, both chains and independents. Once administered, the advisory panel will critically analyze the data, formulate conclusions and submit their findings in manuscript form for publication in the Journal of the American Pharmacists Association JAPhA. The findings of the research will be used by an expert Advisory Panel to develop marketing strategies and materials for distribution to targeted organizations and individuals.
