Ohios MTM Story is a project focused on conveying the value of community pharmacists and pharmacy services to consumers, media, and legislators. This compilation of positive patient interactions made by Ohios pharmacists is a unique effort by OPA to advocate for pharmacy services to the general public, the media, and legislators. Derived from real life stories of interventions, Ohios MTM Story will tell the tales of Ohios patients, their medication related problems, and the solutions developed by pharmacists that helped increase their quality of life and decrease the cost to the healthcare system. Ohios MTM Story will contact pharmacists across Ohio to submit personal stories of interactions with their patients. Then, it will design a booklet highlighting the services, care and impact of pharmacy services throughout the state. This project, once completed, could easily be duplicated by other states to demonstrate the significance of pharmacist patient care services across the nation.
