Objectives

In January 2019, Ohio's governor signed a bill formally recognizing pharmacists as providers of healthcare in Ohio. Pharmacist in Ohio now can practice their main roles and utilize their clinical knowledge while receiving reimbursement for their services. We aim to evaluate the pilot programs implemented after the bill passage. Our objectives are: 1) describe characteristics of patients who received pharmacists services billed under the Ohio state Law SB265, and 2) assess changes in health care utilization of patients who received pharmacists services billed under the Ohio state Law SB265.
