For community pharmacy practice transformation to continue and spread, students need to be exposed to and participate in the current transformation efforts. In order to place students in optimal practice sites to gain these skills, colleges and schools of pharmacy must be able to consistently identify which sites are ?innovative? or ?transformative.? While there may be some intuitive sense about the level of innovation of some pharmacies that partner closely with colleges and schools, there is no consistent definition that would allow for the objective identification of other high value pharmacy sites. Defining sites as ?high quality? in a fair and equitable manner will require a consensus definition. To create the definition, we will explore attributes of the pharmacy services available, the ability of the student to participate in services and their administration, and the quality of precepting. The objectives of this project are: 1) Define criteria for ?high quality? community pharmacy experiential education sites, 2) Map best practice experiential activities for community pharmacy to the Curriculum Outcomes and Entrustable Professional Activities standards.
