UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy's Center for Innovation in Pharmacy Simulation won four Hermes awards for a CPF grant webpage
An interactive webpage designed by CIPS won four Hermes Creative Awards on May 18. The page, designed for the Community Pharmacy Foundation, outlines principles of team-based health care. Jason Whitley, M.S.; Joel Floyd, M.S.; and Catherine MacAllister, M.Ed. designed the webpage. It was based on research conducted by postdoctoral researcher Chelsea Renfro, Pharm.D. Whitley is the creative lead for instructional innovation in CIPS, Floyd is a multimedia producer and MacAllister is an instruction

PQA and the Community Pharmacy Foundation Announce Winners of the Inaugural Community Pharmacy Innovation in Quality Awards
The newly established CPIQ awards recognize high performance for a pioneering individual (Kari Trapskin, vice president of Health Care Quality Initiatives at the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin) practitioner and an innovative community pharmacy practice (Charitable Pharmacy of Central Ohio) that result in improvements in quality of care, medication optimization and patient outcomes.

CPF 2018 Strategic Interests Released!
View the updated CPF strategic interests document defining areas of emphasis for grant funding and foundation activities. Innovative community pharmacy practice ideas, particularly with potential for financial sustainability are of interest.

APhA Announces 2018 Awards and Honors - CPF to receive the H.A.B. Dunning Award
This award recognizes an exemplary contribution to APhA and the practice of pharmacy by a pharmaceutical manufacturer, provider of support products or service, or other entities such as wholesalers, chain corporations, etc. Honorees will be officially recognized at the APhA Annual Meeting and Exposition in Nashville, TN, March 16-19, 2018.

Community Pharmacy Innovation in Quality (CPIQ) Awards - Online Nomination Form Available
The Pharmacy Quality Alliance (PQA) and the Community Pharmacy Foundation (CPF) Community Pharmacy Innovation in Quality (CPIQ) Awards celebrate innovations in community pharmacy practice that promote improvements in quality of care, medication optimization, and patient outcomes through awards for an individual and pharmacy. The inaugural awards will be presented at the PQA Annual Meeting, May 16-18, 2018 in Baltimore, MD.
