The FtP program began in October 2019 with the first Progression topic of hypertension. A brief pivot occurred to release content focused on COVID-19. The 2nd Progression begins in June focusing on opioid prescriptions and patient care management. The implementation goal for the month is to identify patients within the Appointment-Based Model who take opioid medications and begin documenting the indication for medication use and calculate Morphine Milligram Equivalents (MME).

At the August 22-23, 2018 meeting, the board of the Community Pharmacy Foundation honored the retirement of Robert Osterhaus from the board of directors. Board President Phil Burgess recognized Osterhaus's contributions to CPF during his eighteen years of service. The board appointed Pharmacist Matt Osterhaus, a practicing community pharmacist and a national leader in community pharmacy, to the CPF board of directors.

WASHINGTON, DC - The American Pharmacists Association (APhA) Foundation announced that the Community Pharmacy Foundation (CPF) increased funding in support of the APhA Foundation's Incentive Grants for Practitioner Innovation in Pharmaceutical Care.
